Bag check ( 4/27 Wednesday)
Since the NMRT bag check closes at 4:00, arrangements have been made with Aramark to have a bag check for $1.00 per bag on the 3rd floor by 3:00 for the General Session.Carts and bags are allowed in the Assembly Hall, but attendees may be more comfortable making other arrangements with bag check or making a trip to their room prior to the General Session.

Continuing Education Credits
Conference attendees will be able to print their own certificates after conference by accessing the TLA website and recording the programs they attended. This feature will be available on May 10. A recording form can be picked up in Registration Area C, level 2, or found in the back of the conference program (the regular-sized one).New for TLA 2006
Authors Area:Authors will be able to autograph in their sponsoring exhibitor's booth in addition to the Authors Area.
Luggage carts:
Wheeled dollies or satchels are allowed on the show floor during show hours. The rule of thumb for size is the same regulation as for commercial airlines: it must fit in the overhead compartment. Wheeled bags with long leashes will not be allowed.
Conference program:
Don't forget to bring the conference program with you if you want to look up description of a certain program. The one you will receive on site is a pocket-sized booklet with event names and locations. Also check the daily conference newsletter for program and event updates as well as the latest news.

Houston Downtown Tunnel
Downtown's 6.5-mile underground tunnel system connects 81 buildings. It is the world's largest indoor pedestrian tunnel system with shops and restaurants 20 feet below the streets. You can take an official tour (Discover Houston Tours and Experience Houston Tours), or you can just go down the escalator in just about any building downtown.7am to 6pm weekdays only.
